This class is graded on a 'Total Points' basis. Everything a student completes earns points (completed work and quizzes). At the end of a marking period, a student's grade is based on the points earned. A formula that relates Points Earned to a Numeric Grade will be posted at least two weeks before the end of the marking period.
Here is a sample formula: Numeric Grade = 0.36 * Points Earned + 63

Here are approximate percentages for the weighting of the 2 categories of student work:
| HTML, JavaScript, and Graphics exercises | 85-90% |
| Quizzes | 10-15% |
Unfortunately, any letter grade or percentage that Genesis lists will be wrong. This is due to the Total Points approach used, as well as the self-paced nature of the class.
